This is a continuation of last night's entry. Tonight, my day trip diary covers San Pedro Vista and Aspen Vista. Tomorrow night: Marshall Gulch and Summerhaven.
Narration, MVI_0830: This is San Pedro Vista. Sometimes you can see hawks here, but not today! Oh, well. Down across that valley is the San Manuel smelter. Copper. I suspect that it has to do with people who wanted me to interview for a job. But it was just too far away.

More of San Pedro Vista
You can see why the hawks like this place.
Narration, MVI_0837: This is Aspen Vista Point. We're getting well up the mountain now, in a different kind a habitat. As you can see from the trees, the fire of a couple years ago did reach this area. I'm going to take you past a couple of signs. If you look way out here, there's a copper smelter. Way out in the distance.

San Manuel smelter: many miles away, many miles below.
Tomorrow: a small waterfall, and Summerhaven returns from the ashes. (This time for sure!)

John and I were talking about stripping audio off an AVI. He is sure there is a way to do it...but we've just never tried. You could always play the AVI and have sound recorder running at the same time and record your own audio from your speakers. The sound quality would suck...but it should work. LOL
Perfect aerie for the hawks!
Thanks,
V
Just beautiful...Thanks for taking me on the adventure!D

Impressive as always! The photos are stunning, and so vivid. They remind me of the Nevada/California Sierra's. Too pretty, a treat for the eyes :)
Always, Carly :)
