Playin' with My Camera

Well, I was a little intimidated by my new camera at first, but I'm getting the hang of it now.  I even made a little film of TuffyClick here for sixteen seconds of extremely cute raw footage. (Please note that I updated this link to the smaller Windows Media file on 4/5/05.) She jumps!  She whimpers!  She licks!

I'll spare you the pictures (and the accidental AVI) I took at the Red Cross on Saturday while giving blood (no, nothing gory), and the church pictures, some of which I'll be posting on the two St. Michael's blogs. I can report, happily, that this camera does much better in the church's lighting conditions than the Mavica does.

Here are some of the other pictures I took today:

With the zoom on this camera, and by going down the street a little, I can make it look as though the Catalina Mountains are in the next block instead of about 20 miles away.

And would you believe I took this one from the parking lot of Target on Grant Road?

This is the most interesting of the sunset pictures I attempted. I like the accidental effect of the motorcyclist speeding into the shot at the last moment.

Every cloud has what color lining?  Why, pink, of course!

The one and only time I was in AZ the sunsets were sensational.  If there were clouds in the sky, we would head for the side of a mountain (this was so long ago I could never come up with the exact location) and lay around with the other "hippies" (haha) and watch the sun set with the most spectaular colors.  Your shots shook that old memory loose...thanks.
