10% Up Mount Lemmon (Maybe Less)

Searchin' for the Sunset

I left work a little late this evening, and headed straight for Catalina Highway, which turns into Mt. Lemmon Highway as it begins the climb to burnt-out Summerhaven.

I made a few wrong turns and hit some construction, and only got a couple of miles up the mountain before the sun disappeared for the day.

Still, I got a few interesting pictures, and had fun playing with them using M.S. Office Picture Manager.  (I know. Kind of junky program, but that's what I have.)  Can you tell which pictures I fiddled with in terms of color and brightness, and which one I didn't?  Hint: I worked hard to make one of these look like what my eyes saw up there.

I'm going to be on KXCI radio, reading the best poem I ever wrote.  Details in Inspirations.

It didn't take you long to get the hang of that camera, did it?

I've been playing around with an open source photo editing program called The Gimp. It's not bad. You might want to look into it.
